Meet Mechelle
Mechelle Merkerson is an International Cigar Education Specialist who provides curated cigar education experiences for private, corporate, and wedding groups. She designs immersive programs that explore the craftsmanship, flavor, and pairing of cigars, and also offers consulting services for cigar brands and lounges to enhance their audience engagement and brand presence.
Mechelle has been active in the cigar industry since 2018 and launched her video show, Cigars with “M”, in July 2022. Today, her show features 189 educational episodes, creating a comprehensive library for both new and seasoned enthusiasts.
In 2025, she hosted 25 VIP “Cigar Education with Mechelle” classes, each highlighting a different manufacturer and providing hands-on, immersive experiences. Most recently, Mechelle was accepted as the first-ever cigar education resident at Buddy’s DC, a role she continues into 2026, further expanding her impact on the cigar community.
Through her show, events, and bespoke experiences, Mechelle remains a dynamic educator and advocate, shaping the way people experience and appreciate cigars.
